Wine Tasting

catas-de-vino

Discovering the world of wine through a tasting is one of those experiences that changes the way you look at (and savor) every glass. You don’t need to be an expert, you just need to want to have a good time. At Enolovers, Rosa and Pablo always say that a tasting is the perfect starting point to fall in love with wine—no technical jargon or snobbery required.

What is a wine tasting?

A wine tasting is a guided sensory experience where you sample and analyze different wines. But be careful, it’s not just about “drinking wine”—it’s about observing, smelling, tasting, and, above all, understanding it.

Types of tastings

  • Horizontal tasting: Comparing several wines from the same vintage but from different wineries.
  • Vertical tasting: Trying different vintages of the same wine.
  • Blind tasting: You don’t see the bottle or know what you’re drinking. Your senses are in charge.

How do you do a wine tasting?

Visual phase: eye-catching first impressions

Check the color, brightness, and “legs” of the wine to understand its age and body.

Olfactory phase: the nose knows

Detect the primary (grape) and secondary (aging) aromas. Don’t look for fancy words; just think about what it reminds you of.

Gustatory phase: what really matters

Take a sip and analyze the texture, balance, and persistence of the flavor.

How much does a wine tasting cost in Spain?

At Enolovers, we make it easy for you. You’ll find plans starting at €12 up to premium experiences. You pay exactly the same as you would at the winery, but with the convenience of our app.
